Academic Collaborative Centre AGORA is the result of a cooperative initiative between Community Health Service Gelre-IJssel (GGD Gelre-IJssel) and Wageningen University and Research Centre. In AGORA, the university and the community health service bring together knowledge from policy practice and research in order to create stronger links between these three fields.
This site provides information about the activities that take place to help bridge the gap between policy, practice, and research. Training and research play a critical role here. At the level of education and training the knowledge and experience of public health professionals is central. Research focuses on the demands and signals coming from society itself.
